Your story is Our Story

Together, We are LC Strong
Lebanon Catholic is one of those schools that has changed my life around for the better. It prepared me to become the best I could be that I am today. My story is something I hope that touches others. By the time I started school till 3rd grade, I attended the public school system. I struggled academically due to lack of help from teachers. In 3rd grade I was still a kindergarten reading level, didn't know cursive writing like others did and was forced to sit in front of the class while other kids got the opportunity to switch around every month. I felt picked on by the system. They tried to tell me I had a learning disability but it was then proven I didn't. I was just taught poorly and got bullied. In 4th grade is when I arrived to Lebanon Catholic. I was scared, wasn't sure if I will make it to my senior year. Little by little, I began to read better, got better at focusing in class and began to open myself up. In 2016, I got my diploma. If it weren't for Lebanon Catholic, the public system would've continued to fail me and I might have become a high school drop out. I wouldn't have survived. When news broke out the school was shutting down, it tore me. All those kids receiving the best education, loving their friends and teachers are to never see each other. This was a terrible decision and hope we still keep fighting. I want our school back! LC STRONG!
My grandson was in PreK at Lebanon Catholic this year and every time I visited this school I was in awe. The faculty and stuff were amazing. The education my grandson received this past year was phenomenal.
To all my former students from OLV and Lebanon Catholic and to all teachers staff and principal Deb Nash Waters I send love and copious prayers for this tragic loss. May God hold us in the palm of His hand and mend all broken  hearts. - Roseanne Kury
